Welcome to Canadian Academy. We are pleased that you are visiting our school website and invite you to review its pages. Undoubtedly, you will find that Canadian Academy is a very caring, student-centered learning community that inspires educational excellence and the growth of all its members, students and adults alike.

Now in its 99th year of operation, “Canadian Academy inspires students to inquire, reflect, and choose to compassionately impact the world throughout their lives.” This mission drives all that we do here. Each of the four strategies in our community-generated Strategic Plan is aimed to help us achieve this mission. In addition, our traditional motto, “Scientia Clavis Successus,” which we have translated as “Knowledge is the key to successful service,” reflects the strong values that have defined our community for nearly a century.

This is my second year as Headmaster at Canadian Academy, and I am honored to be associated with such an outstanding educational institution, long known throughout the region as a leading international school. I am also grateful for the opportunity to experience the extraordinary grace and kindness of our Japanese hosts and the fascinating culture of Japan.

I look forward to connecting with as many members of our school community as possible in the coming months. Please feel free to drop by my office on the 2nd floor should you have the time and the inclination. Working together, we can all make 2012-2013 yet another great year for Canadian Academy.
