Canadian Academy

A Century of Giving

On September 13, 1913, the Canadian Methodist Academy opened with 13 students. In 1917, the name of the school changed to Canadian Academy, and in 1928, generous donations enabled the school to purchase the Nagamine Heights campus. In 1990, donor support helped to create the Rokko Island campus, which currently has an enrollment of over 600 students. Past, current and future students all benefit from the continued support that the community has given to CA.

Like many other private, independent schools, CA relies primarily on revenue from tuition and fees, but delivering an inspiring education requires considerable resources. CA seeks additional sources of revenue in order to fulfill our mission and deliver the highest quality educational experience to our students. As with previous generations, our community must continue to provide the wonderful opportunities that have existed at CA for 100 years.

Canadian Academy is fortunate to have a community of involved parents, dedicated faculty and staff, generous corporate partners, loyal alumni, and committed Board and leadership team members. Whether students are here for one year or for their entire education, the CA experience is something that is carried with the child and the family members for the rest of their lives. CA is grateful to those who give generously. These donors allow us to create vibrant classrooms ready for motivated students inspired by a devoted faculty, making our campus an ideal space for teaching, learning, and growing.
