Donating to CA
In the CA community throughout the year there are multiple opportunities for giving.
In the past, CA has raised funds for several purposes: to support the international community, to support the local community and to support CA. Fundraising to support the international community can be seen in the Thai fundraiser that occurs in the fall in MS and HS. For our local community, we raise money for Hyogo Prefecture through the Red Feather campaign, and we’ve been active in raising money to help the Tohoku area recover from last year’s earthquake and tsunami. Finally, we raise money for CA, specifically for the Annual, Capital and Endowment funds.
Annual Fund
The Annual Fund bridges the gap between revenue from tuition and fees and the full cost of delivering our programs. Donations to this fund allows CA to create innovative educational programs that enhance student learning.
Capital Fund
The Capital Fund supports the purchase, renovation, improvement and maintenance related to our facility,
such as the Field of Dreams.
Endowment Fund
The Endowment Fund ensures long-term financial sustainability. The principal will remain untouched and
grow through donations. Earnings support special events and projects, such as the Centennial Celebration.

When you make your donation, you may allocate the funds based on the fund structure above.
Matching Funds
Your personal donation will be credited at CA to include the Matching Gift amount from your employer. Apply through your company's Matching Gift program when making your donation.
Annual Report
Donations are recorded from July 1 to June 30 every year. Donations in any amoun are valued and appreciated. Donors will be recognized in Canadian Academy's annual report.
Tax Exemption
Donations in yen are eligible for Japanese Tax Discount through our special tax status, Tokutei Koeki Zoshin Hojin. The Canadian Academy School, Inc. is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization in the USA, incorporated in the state of Delaware (US Federal ID number: 13-3156525). Your donation may be tax deductible.
