ARK Calendar Sale

CA students are deeply involved in service activities and projects, giving back to our local, national, and international communities. It is who we are, and is rooted in our Mission Statement, 'Canadian Academy inspires students to inquire, reflect, and choose to compassionately impact the world throughout their lives.'

With nearly 20 different service clubs to choose from, our students are able to find one that resonates with them. More often than not, they find two or three! These clubs range from assisting with productions in our theaters, to supporting schools in Tohoku, to environmental awareness and stewardship.

Over the past few weeks, our Animal Refuge in Kansai (ARK) service club has been selling hanging and desk calendars each morning before school, as well as at some special events. With prices around ¥1,000 each, one calendar equalled one vaccine that the animals in the Kansai shelter could receive.

The ARK service club is proud to announce that they raised a little over ¥130,000 meaning that 130 animals will be able to receive rabies and other life-saving vaccinations.
