Congratulations, Class of 2024!
On Sunday May 26th, the air was filled with excitement as our Class of 2024 proudly graduated from Canadian Academy.
Our cultural diversity was unmistakable with our graduates dressed in special outfits, some in traditional costumes and others in formal attire, as they arrived to celebrate their huge milestone.
The ceremony was a spectacular culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Family, friends, and faculty members filled the seats, creating a vibrant tapestry of support and pride.
Special awards were presented to students who had excelled in academics, leadership, and community service. These recognitions underscored the diverse talents and contributions of the graduating class.
These are awards that some of the outstanding graduates received:
Valedictorian for overall high academic achievement
Ljlijana Hope Award - the student who positively influences those around him or her to make the world a better place
JCIS Award - student who has made a great deal of effort to learn and assist others in understanding and appreciating the culture and the people of Japan
Kiwanis Service Award - the student who is deeply committed to compassionately impacting the world through their actions
Robert Hengal Leadership Award - the student who has been a student leader of the school
Nestlé College Award - the full IB Diploma student who has been actively involved in CAS activities, and has been a positive addition to the IB program and Canadian Academy
Caterpillar Mathematics Award - the student who demonstrates outstanding skills and contributions in the area of mathematics
Procter and Gamble Award - the outstanding Science student who has shown interest and talent in an area of computer technology
Eli Lilly Award - the outstanding Biology/Chemistry student who has shown an interest in biochemistry with strong experimental ability and theoretical understanding
Outstanding Graduate Award - the student who exemplifies the academic excellence and citizenship, and contributes to the school community

We also enjoyed listening to three Senior Addresses. They mentioned their unique experiences at CA, their supportive families and teachers, and precious moments spent with their lifelong friends. Their touching speeches brought a lot of smiles and tears to those in the audience.
Congratulations, Class of 2024 - we are tremendously proud of how far you have come and are grateful for your inspiration, initiative, and compassion for the school community. The 2024 graduation ceremony was not just an end, but a celebration of new beginnings, a testament to your hard work, and a hopeful look towards the future. Hopefully you will stay connected with us as you are part of the CA Alumni. We are excited for your new adventures - you will surely be missed around here!
