Emergency Drill at the Dormitory

Emergency Drill at the Dormitory

At Canadian Academy’s dormitory, students’ safety is always first and foremost. Our dorm parents organize emergency drills for fire, earthquake, and tsunami every year so that the dorm students can practice how to secure safety in case of an emergency.

Last week, a fire drill took place. A dorm parent, Mr. Peter, showed how to set up the emergency ladder step by step from the second-floor balcony to the ground floor. The students were serious and curious to learn how to use the ladder. They managed to roll it down and climb off the balcony. It was a cold evening, and it was hard to get out of the warm cozy dining room. Still, it was nice to see our dorm students enjoying practicing the evacuation procedure with their peers.
