During the summer of 2021, Canadian Academy completed its renovation of our boarding house. Separated by two boarding parent apartments, our girls and boys boarding is on campus, a short one minute walk to our main building. Set back from the road and next to our leadership team housing, our boarding facilities are safe and quiet-- the perfect place for studying and sleep.
Boarding school provides a unique chance to develop the skills needed to succeed at college and beyond. A TABS (The Association of Boarding Schools) study found that 78% of boarding school graduates felt well prepared for the non-academic aspects of college life, such as independence, social life, and time management, compared to 36% of private day and 23% of public school students.
Living on campus provides an additional bonus of providing opportunities to build meaningful connections with their teachers, some of whom serve as dorm parents, and advisors. Students are supported with their homework, and are provided with a structure and setting which allows them to focus on their studies, as well as participate in an active social and extra curricular program.
We are very excited to announce that our boarding houses will be warmly welcoming a large number of international students this coming August. Joining us will be students from China, South Korea, Taiwan, the United States, Mexico, Germany, France, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Thailand and Japan, to name a few.
Not only does living with peers from all over the world offer a different outlook on life, it also welcomes you to an extended family that will remain with you for the remainder of your life. A truly unique and Canadian Academy experience!
