Welcome to Canadian Academy!
As one of the top international schools in Japan, Canadian Academy has been providing world-class education to the international community in Kobe since 1913. We’re proud to offer a warm and welcoming environment that provides the challenge, opportunities and support that young people need to thrive.
Our spacious campus on Rokko Island - conveniently located between downtown Kobe and Osaka - boasts exceptional facilities that support a vibrant program that inspires curiosity and creativity. Our location in the heart of the Kansai region offers incredible enrichment opportunities, connecting students with multinational corporations, local organizations, and a world of cultural experiences.
Canadian Academy attracts passionate educators who inspire a love of learning and guide our students to become people of character and compassion. We offer the world-renowned International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum from Pre-K through 12th grade; our academic program challenges students to think critically, explore deeply, and pursue their individual interests, preparing them not just for entry to excellent universities worldwide, but for lives of leadership, purpose, and global impact.
Beyond the classroom, our exciting co-curricular programs - from athletics to the arts, service learning to outdoor education - help students discover their passions and become engaged global citizens. Our boarding program provides an extraordinary opportunity for 40 high school students from over 20 countries to receive an excellent IB education in English while immersing themselves in the rich cultural experience of living in Japan.
