Canadian Academy's strategic directions are the result of a highly collaborative process that unfolded over the course of the 2025-26 school year, involving students, parents, faculty and staff, alumni, school leadership, and the Board of Trustees. The work began in the fall with a review of our guiding statements and the identification of our core values, followed by months of conversations, surveys, and focus groups across our community. Three themes emerged consistently as aspirations for every CA student's experience: Personalization, Belonging, and Joy and Meaning in Learning. Together with a fourth direction, Organizational Strength, they form the foundation of our strategic plan, which the Board of Trustees formally adopted in June 2026.

These directions will guide our work in the years ahead as we create a student experience that is highly personalized, where learning is imbued with joy and meaning, and where community members feel a deep sense of belonging. Every student at CA will be challenged to reach their full potential, given opportunities to discover and explore their interests and talents, and supported to grow into the person they are meant to become. All of this is made possible by strong operational practices, as we responsibly manage our financial resources, campus and facilities, and HR and other systems with a commitment to long-term sustainability.

As we move forward, our priorities and decision-making will continue to reflect these directions and CA's core values of challenge, character, community, compassion, creativity, and curiosity.
