The purpose of the Summer Start program is to help CA students and families to transit smoothly to the summer mode of learning.

Summer Start is primarily oriented to support the CA community but we welcome any student to have a good start of the summer with us.

Summer experience 2024

Summer Experience

Current Pre-K-Grade 6
June 17 - July 5 2024
(no weekends)

Summer Experience is a full-day program from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for students currently enrolled in Pre-K through Grade 6. You may sign up your child for one, two, or three weeks, whatever fits your family's schedule best!

Summer Discovery

Current Pre-K-Grade 8
July 15 - July 26 2024
(no weekends)

Summer Discovery is a two-week program for students who would like to discover new ideas and ways to do things. Our Discovery program is based on learning through hands-on projects and activities, inquiry learning, and discovering as a team.

Our Location

Canadian Academy is conveniently located on Rokko Island, an artificial island in the port city of Kobe, Japan. Please visit the Rokko Island City website (www.rokko-island.com) for information on our school’s immediate environment.

Our Staff

Our Summer Program staff consists of a mix of Canadian Academy faculty, teachers from outside of CA, college and high school students, and student volunteers, balancing each other out with their unique backgrounds and talents. Everyone is trained in CPR/First Aid, and our student to staff ratio allows for constant supervision in providing a safe environment to enhance involvement and learning.

Our Facilities

The ELAC (Early Learning and Activities Center), CA South building, Atrium, Science Laboratory, STEAM Lab, P&G Black Box Theater, Lilly Field, Nestle Field, and ELAC gymnasium will be used during the summer to provide students with innovative spaces to encourage their growth.
