Weekly Bulletin 22 May, 2022

Dear CA Community,

It's that time of the year when we celebrate our graduating seniors, wishing them the very best while knowing that they are well-prepared for wherever they might head. With commencement this Saturday, our forty-four graduates will be joining an elite group of alumni. And even though they may be traveling to different parts of the globe, Canadian Academy will always be a home.

Our elementary students challenged themselves this past week by spending a day at Shiawase No Mura. Although balance and strength were required to complete the courses, grit and determination were certainly on display. The students proved to themselves that challenging obstacles can be overcome.

And Covid-19 continues to challenge us, as last week's elementary play needed to be postponed. However, we are excited that the play has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 25 and Thursday, May 26. Tickets, while limited, can be purchased at https://www.canacad.ac.jp/es-drama And of course, our middle school play is set for the following week. Limited tickets for this are also available.

Our PTA is looking forward to having a cup of coffee and a catch up this Wednesday, May 25, in front of our ELAC building. It's a good day to drop your child off at school and get your morning rolling, and we've heard that the Falcon Store will have the CA picnic mats available for purchase. All parents are welcome to join.

It's not too late to register your child for our Summer Programs. With four different options from which to choose, our programs fit your summer calendar. Additional information and registration can be found at https://www.canacad.ac.jp/experiencing/summer

Until next week, take care!
